Thumbnail images displayed in the SatVu Catalog are shown at reduced resolution. This helps you evaluate the suitability of an image before purchase while ensuring that full-quality imagery remains protected under our licensing terms.

About image thumbnails on the platform​

Full-resolution SatVu imagery is only accessible once an image has been purchased and delivered. To help you make informed purchase decisions, the Catalog provides a lower-resolution thumbnail preview for each image.

These low-resolution thumbnails allow you to:

  • Understand the footprint and geographic location of the image
  • Assess cloud cover across the image area
  • Get a general sense of whether the image meets your needs

Accessing full res​

Once you’ve purchased an image, the full-resolution file will become available in your Orders page.

You can:

  • Download the full-resolution image for offline use
  • View it directly in the platform using the split view feature on the Orders page

This allows you to explore the full detail and quality of the imagery you’ve licensed.
